Our People

Community | Hapori

To us hapori (community) is everything. We believe the centre is a very important part of our local community and we are always working at how we can strengthen our position, and our community, by the decisions we make and actions we take. In our view children, parents/whānau, teachers and the wider community are interdependent. The relationships that exist between each of these members are interwoven, and though we consider each member of the hapori as an individual we always see each part of the whole.

What Staff Say

Paula

“We want every member of our learning community to feel that this is their place and their voice will be heard. To us community is everything” (Whakawhanaungatanga)

Anna

Partnership with whānau and valuing the voices of whānau and tamariki are such a strong part of the culture of our centre. Our values of ako and whakawhanaungatanga mean that this is an amazing place to connect, teach and learn.
